“This SH*T is getting out of hand”: WATCH as Chiefs DL Chris Jones trips Josh Allen bringing the NFL’s poor refereeing to the spotlight yet again

Josh Allen gets tripped by Chris Jones

The past couple of weeks has been bad for the NFL as the league’s referees have been making the most ridiculous calls. In addition to this, the referees have overlooked many plays which should have been flagged. Instead, they have called penalties on clean plays, which did not violate any of the league’s rules.

This week was no different. The NFL referees are back at it with their below-par flag-calling skills.

This time, it was in the Kansas City Chiefs matchup against the Buffalo Bills. The game was the most hyped matchup going into Week 6 as the two teams have quite a rocky history. The Chiefs knocked out the Bills in the playoffs last year and since then, Josh Allen and the squad have been looking for revenge. They finally got it last night as they beat the Chiefs 24-20.

The referees did not seem to notice Chris Jones tripping Josh Allen

Josh Allen did not get a penalty for this play

The Buffalo Bills were the subject of criticism two weeks ago when Josh Allen got a penalty in his favor when he was sacked by the Baltimore Ravens and despite the play being a clean one, the referee decided to penalize the Ravens by categorizing that play as roughing the passer.

This week, karma seems to have come back to bite him as he was sacked by the Kansas City Chiefs DL Chris Jones.

The issue with this play was that Chris Jones tripped Josh Allen. The play happened so quickly that even though a referee was standing right behind the quarterback; he failed to notice it. Fans were quick to criticize the poor refereeing as if it were Tom Brady in place of Josh Allen, they would have definitely flagged that play.

It can clearly be seen that in this play when Chris Jones rushes toward Josh Allen, David Quessenberry attempted to hold the defensive lineman back, and initially he did succeed a bit. Due to this, Chris Jones seems to have pushed his left leg forward, and he knocked into Josh Allen’s left leg, successfully tripping him off of his feet.

Fans were outraged once again due to the dismal standard of refereeing in NFL games this season and took to Twitter to voice their criticisms:

This was another play where the referees failed to notice a block on the punt.

The referee was under 5 yards away from Josh Allen when this happened. It is ridiculous that he missed such an evident play.

The referees are getting too comfortable missing out on such calls. They need to be held accountable.

There is no argument there. If it were Tom, the odds are higher that he would have gotten a call in his favor.

The referees got a totally different set of eyes.

It’s all fun and games until you tear the ACL of the quarterback.

That seems to be the theme of the referees for the 2022 season.

Maybe the referee had Chris Jones on his fantasy team, that no-call would make a lot more sense if that were the case.

The league has to step up and ensure that referees are held accountable too. No action has been taken against the officiating crew this season despite their blunders. The maximum punishment that they may get is the league will just not let them officiate playoff games, but that is getting off too easy.
