Aaron Rodgers recent move to the New York Jets has been highly debated on social media. Some NFL analysts believe it was a great move while some think that the veteran QB is old and has nothing to offer.

Still, Rodgers is one of the greatest QBs of all time and has established an unbeatable legacy with the Green Bay Packers, Now, he wishes to do the same with the Jets.

Recently, Stephen A. Smith made a strong accusation on the ‘First Take’ and stated that if Rodgers leads the Jets to a Super Bowl then he will be better than the Jets’ legend Joe Namath.

Namath was one of the most exciting QBs of his time and led the Jets to their only Super Bowl victory. The former NFL QB is a legendary figure in New York. Therefore, Smith’s recent assessment wasn’t taken well on social media, and Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo had something to say about it.

“I’ve said dumb things. That’s as dumb a comment as I’ve ever heard in my life. Comparing him to Joe Willie Namath if you are a Jets fan? Worst take, I couldn’t believe it,” Chris Russo stated.

Chris Russo was taken aback by the absurd comparison from Stephen A. Smith and believes the NFL analyst should face severe consequences for that. Russo also took a shot at Aaron Rodgers and called him names while denying his entire legacy with the Packers.

Aaron Rodgers is considered as a true veteran of the game. He has been in the NFL for two decades now and has won numerous accolades throughout that time.

However, Chris Russo completely denied his accomplishments in his rant and reprimanded the Super Bowl winner after he was compared to Joe Namath.

“He’s an original New York freaking Jet! Aaron Rodgers, the carpetbagger, who’s all of a sudden at the Tonys, Taylor Swift, Ranger hockey. What do they do in Green Bay? He must have been bored stiff because he’s doing everything here. But now Rodgers…we’re gonna compare him as a Jets fan to Joe Namath?” Chris Russo stated.

Aaron Rodgers has not yet played a single game for the Jets. Still, many have assumed or predicted his outcome for the future. The talented QB has been in the league for a long time now, and it will be exciting to see him in new colors.
