Looks like Christian McCaffrey doesn’t prefer the tradition of swapping jerseys after a game, which most players go out of their way to do. After the game against the Minnesota Vikings, McCaffrey didn’t seem to be in the giving mood as his team, the San Francisco 49ers suffered a rough loss of 22-17.

From a clip going viral over the internet, McCaffrey can be seen talking to the Vikings defensive lineman Harrison Phillip on the field, who was also his teammate at Stanford.

What caught the eye of everyone was when Phillip tried to take off his jersey to swap with McCaffrey, the running back shook his head declining the offer of exchange. Phillip did not seem to read much into McCaffrey’s reaction, as they both pose for a photo before parting ways.

However, the Manning brothers, Peyton and Eli seemed to have caught the weirdness between the athletes, as they narrated the exchange. From what it seemed like, “Nah, Nah, Nah. I’m good, I’m good,” joked Peyton, imagining the reaction given by McCaffrey. Though Vikings’ Phillip did his best to offer the jersey swap with McCaffrey, the 49ers star appeared to have no desire in the exchange.

49ers running back McCaffrey finished the game by recording 45 rushing yards and a touchdown on 15 carries in the loss. This counted as his loss streak as the 16th straight game. Also, he had three receptions for 51 yards along with another touchdown.

Christian McCaffrey succeeded two Hall of Fame running backs

49ers running back Christian McCaffrey began his football career by being drafted by the Carolina Panthers. As he came back to the Bay Area, he became the best running back in the NFL.

Also being a Stanford Alumni works as a magnetic pull to the end zone as his team, the 49ers counts him as one of the all-time greats. After the game against the Vikings, McCaffrey succeeded two Pro Football Hall of Famers, O.J. Simpson and John Riggins, for having the second-highest games in a row recording a touchdown in the history of the NFL.

Last Monday’s game counted as the running back’s 16th straight game after scoring on a three-yard run. Hence, breaking the previous records by Simpson and Riggins. McCaffrey now stands behind one Hall of Fame running back named Lenny Moore of the Baltimore Colts, with a record of 17 games.
