Whether anyone likes it or not, Cole Beasley won’t be retiring at least not this season. The 34-year-old has seen his fair share of ups and downs during his NFL career. But none more so since the pandemic. Beasley recounts his last few seasons at the Buffalo Bills and reveals how the atmosphere around him suddenly changed because of his refusal to take the COVID-19 Vaccine.

“Buffalo changed for me after that,” Beasley said this while he gears up for the new season in Orlando. Unlike the majority of the players at the Bills facility, the wide receiver chose against immunizing himself. He stood his ground in the face of the pressure, which ended badly.

I loved Buffalo, and I found my love for football.  But once COVID hit, all that kind of changed,” Beasley remarked. He continued, saying, “It’s all politics. It’s crazy,” and the fans seem to forget who he was before the lockdown.

However, Beasley has no grudge against the players. He revealed to OUTKICK, “Never teammates. They are always supportive.” The Texas native, who was traded to the Bills in 2019 from the Dallas Cowboys, claimed some of his teammates were in favor of his decision.

But he has a different opinion of the fans and the staff in Buffalo. According to Beasley, “Fans are one thing, but the people in the building are another.” He said he was already used to fans criticizing him, even during his time in Dallas, but at the Bills, the situation was different.

In the end, Cole Beasley had the last laugh, as the CDC ultimately announced that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine was ineffective. Moreover, the FDA also stopped the use of the Pfizer and Moderna monovalent vaccines.

Beasley’s career is far from over, even though he announced his retirement last October while being part of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But later in December, he decided to resign with the Bills, and they registered him on their practice squad.

While he is still contracted to the Buffalo franchise, Beasley has hinted that his football career may lead him to another team. “I have a workout on the 21st,” said Beasley, refusing to name who. “I don’t know if they want me to mention that right now.”

In his 11-year NFL career, Cole Beasley has appeared in 155 games, passed for 5744 yards, and recorded 34 receiving and 40 rushing touchdowns.
