The Minnesota Golden Gophers played the Quick Lane Bowl on Tuesday against the Bowling Green Falcons at Ford Field in Detroit. Minnesota’s QB Cole Kramer led his team to a 30-24 win against the Falcons. Although Kramer didn’t have a great game statistically, he did just enough to lead the team to an impressive win.

The quarterback finished the game with just 26 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception. He threw the ball just 16 times and completed 50 percent of his passes. It was also Kramer’s first career start for the Gophers. However, Kramer was under the spotlight for a completely different reason yesterday. His fiancee, Katie Miller grabbed the headlines last night as she attended Kramer’s first career start.

Miller became an overnight sensation after the ESPN broadcast kept cutting back to her as she was watching the game from the stands. Fans on social media picked up on it and made Miller the star of the game. College football fans reacted to this, calling it the “Taylor Swift-like treatment”. Here are a few of these reactions.

Miller played a big part in the fifth-year quarterback’s decision to play in the Quick Lane Bowl; Miller was soon to marry the Gophers’ backup quarterback. Kramer was supposed to start a sales and marketing firm in Arizona with his future wife before Athan Kaliakmanis gained access to the transfer portal. She convinced Kramer to suit up one last time, and he was able to end the season with a victory in a bowl game.
