Colin Cowherd believes there’s NOTHING special about Jordan Love who’s trying to fill Aaron Rodgers’ shoes
Cowherd pointed out that Love will be entering his fourth year in the NFL not his first, so he needs to get his act together and behave like one.

Colin Cowherd has made a name for himself with his hot takes about the Green Bay Packers over the years. So why would it be any different when they are entering a new era with quarterback Jordan Love?
The 24-year-old has spent three seasons as the understudy of Aaron Rodgers since his draft in 2020. Now that the veteran has left for the Jets, he is now the new center at Lambeau Field. Rodgers, before the preseason games, gave him a pat on the back and wished him the best of luck.
All eyes were on Love when the Packers faced the Bengals on Saturday, August 12. Unsurprisingly, he was the main target of the opposition, as they tried their level best to shut out every pass. To Love’s credit, he completed 7/10 attempted throws for 46 yards and a touchdown pass to Romeo Doubs.
Despite a reasonable outing, Colin Cowherd had some harsh words for the former first-round pick. “The biggest throw of the game, clean pocket, wide-open tight end. [But] he not only missed it, he missed it badly,” Cowherd said in the latest segment of Fox Sports’ Herd. “It’s Year 4 in the NFL. That’s a layup. They’re hand-holding him. He’s a game manager. There’s no special there.”
He may have a point on the four-year part, but Love only made 10 appearances in that period. On the other hand, the match against the Cincinnati Bengals was just a preseason friendly. However, coach Matt LaFleur was confident enough to let go of a four-time MVP quarterback and let Love hold the steering wheel. Naturally, expectations will be high.

Can Jordan Love help the Green Bay Packers win the NFC this year?
Colin Cowherd is correct at one point: Jordan Love can repeat throwing mistakes frequently. The NFC may be one of the weakest in recent history. But that doesn’t mean they can take their foot off the gas.
The Detroit Lions will be the team to beat in the division with Jared Goff as their center. Moreover, they have a packed schedule with tough games back-to-back. The Bears and the Falcons will pose some challenges, but it’s the Minnesota Vikings that may end up being their arch-nemesis.
However, running back Aaron Jones has faith in his young quarterback. “He’s more than ready,” Jones said in a recent segment of The Rich Eisen Show. “He’s very poised, calm, and a true leader.” Jones also promised to make life easier for him so that he could complete more passes. If Jordan Love wants to guide the Packers to the divisional playoffs or maybe even the championship game, he needs to set up.
