The Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who will be turning 30 in a couple of weeks, recently said that he is feeling a sense of urgency to win a Super Bowl right now. However, the long-time NFL analyst Colin Cowherd is not buying Prescott’s “sense of urgency” comments and claims Prescott is not a superstar talent.

Speaking in a recent episode of his show The Herd on Fox Sports 1, Cowherd said, “Dak Prescott says ‘turning 30, there’s a real sense of urgency.’ Dak has urgency the next two years and age doesn’t have anything to do with it.”

“Dak is not young nor cheap, nor is he a superstar talent, and that’s how you win Super Bowls,” said Cowherd. “He’s a reflection of his roster more than he elevates it. He is the longest tenured quarterback for any team in the league and I know exactly what he is. It is ridiculous to think he’s going to ‘pop’ this year.”

Cowherd went on to claim that Dak Prescott has only got two years’ window to win the Super Bowl ring. The Fox Network analyst believes the next wave of talented college football QBs Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Michael Penix Jr. will end up on NFC since most of the teams in the conference are awful and in need of a good young quarterback.

Cowherd also compared the Cowboys QB to the Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins and said no one can expect them to “pop” this year. He said they both are not superstar talent. These comments come just a few days after Prescott said that he’s feeling a sense of urgency to win the Super Bowl as he will be 30 years old on July 29.

Dak Prescott has one final chance to lead the Cowboys to the Super Bowl ring

As the FS1 personality Colin Cowherd claimed the Cowboys‘ Super Bowl window under Dak Prescott is indeed narrowing down very quickly. Cowherd gave two years for Prescott in Dallas, but it might just be one.

Last two seasons, Prescott and the Cowboys had early exits from the postseason despite having good regular seasons. In both games, Prescott didn’t perform at a high level.

If the Cowboys suffer another failure in the playoffs because of Prescott, Jerry Jones might end up moving from the 2-time Pro Bowl signal-caller. Next year’s draft class is loaded with QB talents, unlike the last two years.

And it would be the perfect time for the Dallas-based football team to get their new young-signal caller to compete with the likes of Jalen Hurts, Justin Fields, and Brock Purdy in the NFC. Prescott has one final shot to lead the Cowboys to a Super Bowl ring in the upcoming season.
