“This man has dementia!” – Colin Cowherd gets CLOWNED on social media for claiming Geno Smith will never lift the AFC Championship trophy despite the Seahawks competing in the NFC

Sports analyst Colin Cowherd is famous for making shrewd remarks about the NFL teams and players. He is often seen criticizing the bigwigs and stalwarts in the league from the sets of his show ‘The Herd with Colin Cowherd.’ Recently, he analyzed the league-winning possibilities of the Miami Dolphins and said that the team is in perfect shape to clinch this year’s title if they can include running back Jonathan Taylor in their team.
However, it does not seem that he receives positive feedback from fans for his remarks always. Things often go in the wrong direction for the renowned TV host. In one of his recent episodes, the anchor said that he does not feel that there are high hopes for the Seattle Seahawks and QB Geno Smith in the AFC side of the league.
The 59-year-old analyst said, “I think I am gonna be diplomatic. I don’t think Geno Smith is ever gonna hold the trophy up. But I think the Seahawks got the coach and they are too young to win the Super Bowl. But they can win multiple divisional playoffs. I don’t see Geno holding up the AFC championship over Mahomes or Burrow.”
Nonetheless, fans thought Cowherd made a mistake. The discussion revolves around the AFC’s evident depth compared to the NFC, highlighting how a team like Seattle, positioned in the NFC and not the AFC, possesses a puncher’s chance, especially with Geno. On social media, the conversation sidetracked on the fact that the Seahawks are in the NFC Conference and not the AFC Conference. Hence, the question of Geno Smith lifting the trophy over Joe Burrow or Patrick Mahomes remains invalid.
The comments of Cowherd were subjected to deep trolls on multiple social media platforms. Right after he passed his remarks on, Twitter (now X) started getting flooded with comments and banters.

Things did not go well for Colin Cowherd as the fans of the NFL started taking a dig at him. Right after his remark, Twitter (now X) started getting flooded with sarcasm from fans. Cowherd’s conference name mishap didn’t go well with the ‘kind’ fans on social media and they made sure to remind the TV show host.
“I swear he does this like every week does he even watch sports,” a fan wrote.
“Ever since @JoyTaylorTalks left the show it’s been trash,” another NFL follower wrote with a hint that ‘The Herd with Colin Cowherd,’ is losing its charm.
“Man football needs to hurry up and get here, we got “experts” getting paid millions of dollars saying the hawks, chiefs and Bengals are all in the same conference,” another user wrote.
On the sports side of things, the Seattle Seahawks will start their 2023 NFL season on 10th September against the Los Angeles Rams.
