The Green Bay Packers made a few startling choices with their NFL 2022 draft picks held in Las Vegas last month. The Packers recently lost out on Davante Adams, one of the most promising wide receivers in the whole of the league.

Mancy had predicted that the Packers would draft a wide receiver with their first-round pick, but instead, they drafted Georgia Bulldogs’ linebacker Quay Walker and defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt. While these picks strengthened their defense, the Green Bay Packers will once again have to rely on Aaron Rodgers’ services in offense.

LEading NFL analyst, Colin Cowherd was least pleased with the Packers’ thought process behind the drafts of the two defensive picks. On his show, the Herd, he congratulated them for winning a division, which lacks good teams. The veteran show host, also claimed that they will not stand a chance to win the Super Bowl.

However, he also pointed out that the last time the Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl in 2011 their defense did most of the scoring and was actually top of the league in terms of TDs.

Colin Cowherd said, “Everybody beat them up for the draft for not getting a wide receiver. They should have taken a WR over a linebacker, but Tom does point out this the last time the Packers won a Super Bowl, they were No. 1 in scoring defense.”

“In the Super Bowl, they won before that one, they had No. 1 scoring defense. Their last seven first-round picks have been defensive players. Everyone in the media is like ‘get a receiver’ and I did think they’d need a WR.”

“The slick passing game Packers is not working. Yes, you’re winning a crappy division. In your last 16 playoff games, you’re 7 and 9. Congrats on winning a Lousy division. Someone’s gotta win the Pac-12 too.”
