The offseason has started and teams are burning the midnight oil to make themselves Super Bowl contenders for the upcoming season. To make it to the world championship game, the most important person on the roster is the quarterback. No matter how great the defense is and how great the offensive weapons are, it won’t matter if the guy under center isn’t any good.
There are a lot of teams in need of a great and seasoned quarterback this offseason. With the availability of Aaron Rodgers, Derek Carr, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Baker Mayfield, quarterback-needy clubs will most definitely make a move on these stars. The team who is in desperate need of a star quarterback is the Las Vegas Raiders.
After parting ways with Carr, the Raiders are left with Jarrett Stidham who had good games during the final leg of the season. But there is no way they give him the starting job with Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, and Russell Wilson in the division. They need a signal-caller who has been through every motion of the game because these three quarterbacks are the best in the league. There is only one guy who can survive this decision, and come out on top and, that is Aaron Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers could reunite with Davante Adams in Las Vegas
Aaron Rodgers has a once-in-a-generation arm talent and he is considered to be among the greatest quarterbacks of all time. There is no need to reiterate his resume because there is hardly anyone who isn’t familiar with Rodgers. Analyst Colin Cowherd made an excellent case for why Rodgers would be the best fit for the Raiders in the 2023 season.
Cowherd started off by saying that Derek Carr is probably going to end up playing for the Carolina Panthers and he is going to flourish in that NFC South now that Tom Brady has retired. This will reflect badly on the Raiders who are in the toughest division in the NFL. “This about Aaron Rodgers to the Raiders for a second,” Cowherd said. “Aaron has never missed Davante Adams more. Secondly, Green Bay would love to send him to the Raiders because it is a tough division. Three, the Raiders and the Packers front offices have been doing deals last couple of years. Four, the Raiders have the third most cap space in the league.”
The Raiders are stacked with weapons on the offense. They have a great O-line, the best receiver in the league in Davanate Adams, and the best slot receiver in Hunter Renfrow. Las Vegas also has a top 3 tight end in Darren Waller and the best running back Josh Jacobs. There are many rumors floating around that the New York Jets will trade for Aaron Rodgers. But Cowherd feels that the “Jets don’t check all the boxes” and the 4x NFL MVP will not end up in New York.
“Aaron is going to a black hole for 4 days. Why not just make it full-time? Go to the Raiders,” Cowherd added. The Raiders have the 7th overall pick in the 2023 draft and they are going to receive compensatory fifth-round picks for Carr so it makes perfect sense that they use their first-round pick and a fifth and sixth-round pick to get Aaron Rodgers on the roster.
It’ll be interesting to see whether this trade takes place or not. Let’s see if the league gets to watch Rodgers throw touchdowns to Adams once again or not!
