Colin Cowherd proposes ABSURD Jets trade scenario involving their star CB Sauce Gardner amidst Aaron Rodgers’ probable move to New York

The New York Jets are currently shopping for a quarterback to lead their franchise. And they are actively trying to trade for the Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers per multiple reports. But will the New York-based franchise be open to trading Sauce Gardner away in return for a franchise QB? Well, Colin Cowherd believes they might have to make that decision.
With Derek Carr out of the equation, the Jets will be going all in on the 4-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers. According to reports, the Jets are already in talks with the Packers QB regarding a potential trade but nothing’s guaranteed. If the Jets also miss out on the 10-time Pro Bowl QB, they would have to settle for less accomplished quarterbacks like Jimmy Garoppolo or other veteran QBs.
If they failed to get a veteran QB in the free agency or trade, they could always use the draft to select a top-tier talent at the quarterback. The Jets, who currently hold the 13th overall pick will not be able to get a good quarterback. So they would have to trade up to a top 5 pick if they want to select their franchise signal-caller via Draft. It could cost a lot to move up 8 or more positions in the draft order.
Amidst this situation, Fox Sports analyst Colin Cowherd suggests a ridiculous trade scenario for the New York Jets involving trading their star cornerback Ahmad Sauce Gardner in a package to select their quarterback.
“They don’t have enough draft capital. Most of their good players are very young. Could you give up a Sauce Gardner? You may have to do that,” Cowherd said during a recent episode of the show The Herd. “We’ll give your our first at 13 and Sauce Gardner to get to 4 and get a quarterback.”

The 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year Sauce Gardner has a special pitch for the Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers amidst the trade rumors. Gardner took to social media to deliver the message.
“Aye @AaronRodgers12 I promise if you become a Jet, I won’t pick you off in practice & I’ll burn the cheesehead,” tweeted Gardner referring to the incident that happened during the week 6 game between the Jets and the Packers.
The Jets defeated the Packers 27-10 and the All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner celebrated the victory by donning a cheesehead on the head and running around in Lambeau field. And now, the star corner promises Aaron Rodgers that he would burn that cheesehead if the former Super Bowl Champion QB signed with the Jets in the off-season.
