“Spare Tyre”: Colin Cowherd uses a SPECIAL analogy for Jimmy Garoppolo

Colin Cowherd had always been one of the most outspoken sports analyst in the world specially with his opinions regarding various athletes , of course not all his takes were right and not all his takes were wrong. So his latest take on the out of favor San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Jimmy Garopollo has us intrigued.
Garoppolo who recently lost his starting Quarterback job to 49ers selection with the 3rd pick in last year’s draft Trey Lance. Garoppolo who was originally drafted by Bill Bellichik and the New England Patriots in the 2nd round of the 2014 NFL draft, led the 49ers to 2 NFC championship games and a Super bowl where they lost to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Garoppolo’s days with 49ers were numbered since the day Lance was drafted by the 49ers.

Colin Cowherd – “Something isn’t really really valuable until it is”
Cowherd made his point by talking about a spare tyre which he had in his car for 10years and how it became everything for him when he had a flat at Manhattan beach last year in cold and windy weather. According to Cowherd Jimmy Garoppolo is going “to be the spare tyre of this league.” Cowherd even pointed out some teams that would benefit by trading for Jimmy G, who’s on the trading block.
The teams Cowherd urged to get Jimmy Garoppolo were- the Minnesota Vikings, the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Browns as he said-“But when I look at like a Cleveland or a Dallas or a Minnesota. And you got really nice offensive pieces, and you’ve got offensive coaches, and you have opportunities, and you start off one and three, one and four, or your quarterback gets hurt. Dak, Kirk Cousins get hurt, or Deshaun’s suspension is longer.
He also added-“Draft picks are wonderful but no coach has ever retained his job as he has back to back losing seasons saying four years from now I got six 1st round picks.You got to win now. You got to win now.“
“And so go ahead. Crap on Jimmy Garoppolo but one of you good teams out there really good teams is gonna get off to a 4-1 start and lose your quarterback. You’re gonna find out how ‘average’ Jimmy Garoppolo is then.” He also added that in the 4th quarter at Lambeau, Garoppolo outplayed 4 tiime MVP Aaron Rodgers as he “once again” defended one of his guys.
