Is Colin Kaepernick hinting at returning to the NFL? The 35-year-old recently shared a workout video in which he throws some passes to multiple NFL stars.
In a 1:30-minute-long clip titled ‘We Stay Sharp’ shared by Kaepernick, he can be seen training with some of the best in the business. Players such as Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry, Cowboys receiver Cee Dee Lamb, and Dolphins wideout Jaylen Waddle, to name a few.
It has been six years since Kaepernick last played for the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL. He dropped out of the game in 2016 after kneeling during the national anthem in protest against police brutality and racial injustice. Since then, speculation about the two-time WAC Offensive Player of the Year has made a few social media appearances, showing that he still has the goods.

Colin Kaepernick ridiculed by social media after his recent workout video went viral
Even though Colin Kaepernick has been out of the game for a while, the former signal-caller still can’t seem to shake off the bad blood he has with NFL fans. After the release of the short clip, several ridiculed the Milwaukee native, calling it a propaganda video.
Despite the criticism, the NFL stars in the video praised Colin Kaepernick. Jalen Waddle could be heard saying, “Kap’s got a real rocket for an arm. Real good ball placement; he makes it easy for us.”
While this may not confirm Kaepernick’s return, the University of Nevada graduate revealed he has unfinished business. Earlier this month, he gave an interview to Sports Illustrated.
“I’m going to keep pushing and fighting for it. I know I can play. Every opportunity I’ve had to show the feedback was positive,” Kaepernick claimed. He definitely looks to be in great shape, and there are few in his position who play very deep in their careers. So it’s not impossible to say that he can’t make a return. However, whether the franchises would want Kaepernick is another question.
Colin Kaepernick helped the 49ers reach the championship game against the eventual winners, the Seattle Seahawks. For his contribution to the team, he was offered a six-year extension to his contract worth $126 million.
But as luck would have it, things went south very quickly in 2016. Multiple surgeries prevented him from starting on the 49ers squad. He was eventually let go, and there were even rumors that the Baltimore Ravens wanted him as Joe Flacco’s backup.
Kaepernick, in 69 games for the San Francisco 49ers, had 12,271 passing yards with 72 touchdowns and 30 interceptions. Moreover, he rushed for 2,300 yards and scored 13 touchdowns before hanging up his boots.
