“Don’t like that gay sh*t,” College footballer Jack Dawson arrested for assaulting ex-teammate on suspicions of him being gay
We are living in the 21st century, and the issues with homophobia still continue to plague the world. In what comes in as socking news, a college football player named, Jack Dawson was arrested for assaulting his ex-teammate John Haynes on the suspicion that the latter was gay.
In a federal lawsuit against Jack Dawson, from Troy University in Alabama, Haynes accused him of assaulting him several times, some of which are simply too horrific to be talked about. According to Haynes, Jack Dawson forced him to do sodomy with a pool cue and landed several punches on him in a separate incident.

The worst thing for John Haynes in all of this would be the fact that his college football coaches knew about the whole situation and yet did not intervene to help him out. Three coaches named, Brian Blackmon, Jamaal Smith, and Dayne Brown have also been named as defendants in the lawsuit for their lack of action on what can be termed as an acute case of homophobia.
Jack Dawson will be facing charges for three separate incidents, all of which occurred during the time span 2020-21. The lawsuit also specifies that Haynes had conveyed his plight to all three of his coaches in a meeting held in November 2020. However, the alleged response from coach Jamaal Smith is truly shocking, to say the least.
“John, you gotta stop doing all this gay shit like getting into bed with other guys and being so nice,” the lawsuit quotes Smith as saying. “Guys don’t like that gay shit. That’s why Jack and others are bullying you so you just gotta beat Jack’s ass.”
Dawson’s attorney and Troy University have denied all of these allegations on their part and will continue to defend their innocence.
