It’s needless to say that Shedeur Sanders‘ impact on college football is monumental. What intrigues the football gene is that he came out of nowhere, and people are now chanting the Heisman after his name. Not only is he a great quarterback, saving the blushes of the Colorado Buffaloes time and time again, but he also loves to put out statements that are slowly becoming iconic. Especially pointing his watch at rival fans and players to establish his superiority.
After a 27-24 nail-biter against Arizona State, Shedeur went over to a section of the stadium populated by Arizona students and, with a large grin on his face, flashed a diamond-laden wristwatch. What’s fascinating is that the watch on his left hand is no ordinary timekeeping device. It’s a one-of-a-kind Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15500, adding wonder to Shedeur Sanders’ watch collection.
This gesture is quickly becoming his signature pose. Even celebrities are hopping on the bandwagon. D. J. Khaled gave it his seal of approval, branding it ‘The Shedeur.’
There’s no exact explanation as to why Shedeur imprinted such a gesture, but one thing is for sure: the Colorado fans love it. The opposition is not so much. It first surfaced before the Nebraska game. During the prematch walkout at Folsom Field, a few Cornhuskers gathered around in the middle of the turf, where the Buffaloes logo was situated. After a few heated exchanges, Sanders flashed his super-expensive watch at a Nebraska player.

Shedeur Sanders is living the glamor life
As the world gets used to the ‘Shedeur pose’ and those who closely watched Sanders grow into the football player he is today, it’s nothing new. Since his days at Jackson State, he has embraced the world of glitz. Besides the watch, there’s another more familiar ornament he wears whenever he’s in front of the public eye.

Around his neck, there is a chain that represents his brand, SS2, featuring 28 carats of diamonds and 43.5 carats of VVS diamonds. Both the watch and the necklace were crafted by Saki Mikhalakos, a custom jewelry designer who runs a shop in Jackson State.
“It’s crazy, man. It’s everywhere now. God works in mysterious ways,” in an interview with Complex. “I’m grateful for the attention that it’s caught.”
Even Shedeur’s brother, Shilo Sanders, who plays cornerback for the Buffaloes, made a “Headache” pendant with 28 carats of VVS diamonds in July 2023.
