The Travis Kelce–Taylor Swift relationship has moved at a very rapid pace. It has garnered a lot of attention since Swift first attended the Kansas City Chiefs’ week 3 game against the Chicago Bears. Since then, the pair have been spotted together multiple times and are going strong. Kelce attended Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Argentina recently and the couple were captured kissing backstage.
All this attention has been a positive for the NFL. They have gained a lot of attention all over the world, thanks to Swift’s global fan following. The relationship between a global superstar and one of the NFL’s greatest players is bound to grab headlines and that can only mean great publicity for the league. NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell talked about the growing relationship and its benefits to the league.
Goodell said during his appearance on CBS Mornings show on Wednesday:
Listen, they’re happy. They seem to be enjoying their relationship, that’s great in and of itself. But it has connected more fans of Taylor’s and more fans of the NFL in some way to see that now they have a connection to our game. I think it’s great for the league to have that kind of attention. We welcome it.
Swift has already attended multiple Chiefs’ games to watch Kelce play. However, she wasn’t able to attend the Chiefs’ game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday. The Chiefs lost the game 21-17. They will play their next game against the Las Vegas Raiders this Sunday.
