Now that the Texas Rangers have finally won a World Series after beating the Arizona Diamondbacks, attention has now turned toward the other big franchise in the region, i.e. the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys. Jerry Jones would definitely feel the pressure to bring the ‘glory’ days back.

Although the final game of the series did not take place at Arlington, Jones believes it was for the better. The devout Rangers fan claimed that because it was played away from Dallas, he had more confidence that they would win.

I used to worry about home field advantage till the Rangers showed me different with this run.

In true Jerry Jones fashion, he commented on winning championships that have been around on social media platforms. He said becoming the champion is:

It's the absolute glory hole!

Social media not amused with Jerry Jones’ choice of words

The remark has gone viral, which is an understatement. Not only has it generated a buzz on Twitter (now known as X), but also football fans have started to question whether the 81-year-old should even be making such double-meaning statements.

Here’s what the netzines had to say about Jerry Jones’ comment:

Some of the commenters pointed out that the Cowboys haven’t won the Super Bowl for more than 25 years. Retired legend Demarcus Ware, who was awarded the Cowboys Ring of Honor last Sunday, shared his expectations regarding what he wants from Dak Prescott and Co.

Congratulations, Rangers,” Ware posted. “Next up.…”

His favorite team will face a stern test in the form of the Philadelphia Eagles. Prescott boasts an 8-3 record against their 2022 Super Bowl finalists. They are 5-2 this season, but on the road are 2-2.
