“Revenge”: Cowboys DE DeMarcus Lawrence is itching to face the Buccaneers in Week 1
Last NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys season opener was against the then NFL Champions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Cowboys fans were hyped after the game, not because they won that game but because they came that close to winning it. The Bucs beat them 31-29, however, Cowboys fans saw it as a moral victory and cheered as the opener increased their hopes for the remainder of the season.
Well as we all know, the Cowboys’ season was not the best, they got bounced out of the first round of the playoffs. That season opener, however, attracted immense viewership as everybody wants to see America’s team play and they most definitely want to see Tom Brady play. The league office is all about views, which is why they have decided to retain that same game in the first week of this season as well.

The Dallas Cowboys are looking forward to this matchup:
The Cowboys are most certainly approaching this game as a revenge game, the team’ defensive-end DeMarcus Lawrence was hyped after the schedule was unveiled. He tweeted the word “Revenge” indicating that this time, the outcome of the game is most likely to be different.
This season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are healthy, however, their roster is slightly different, they do not have Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski’s status is uncertain as of now, there is no guarantee on if he will return or not. However, the one man who matters the most will be on the field, Tom Brady. Brady would love to beat America’s team once again, however, this time the Cowboys are also more motivated than ever.
It is to be noted that Amari Cooper is no longer on the roster, he was one of the key components on that team and Dak Prescott’s go-to weapon. This means that it is the turn of CeeDee Lamb to step up to the plate and prove his worth this season. On the defensive end, the team is loaded, with Micah Parsons, Trevon Diggs, and newly drafted guard Tyler Smith, the team is stacked.
Let’s see if DeMarcus Lawrence keeps his word and plays like it is a revenge game.
