The Dallas Cowboys‘ kicker, Brandon Aubrey, created history as he tied the record for most number of field goals made in a row to start an NFL career. He was named the NFC’s Special Teams Player of the Month. So far, the rookie kicker has attempted 18 field goals this season. He has made them all. The Dallas-based team seem to have unearthed their next kicking superstar after cycling through multiple kickers in recent years.

Aubrey made a 58-yard field goal against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. It was the longest-made field goal by a rookie since 2019, which earned him the NFC’s Special Teams Player of the Month award. The 28-year-old kicker is a multisport athlete. He is also a professional coder. Aubrey worked as a coder for four years before joining the Cowboys this year.

The multisport athlete studied Computer Science at Notre Dame and worked as a professional coder for 4 years. He then switched his career to become a professional kicker. Fans on social media were baffled to know the hidden identity of the kicker after a screenshot of his LinkedIn profile surfaced on Twitter. Here are some of the reactions to the post.

Aubrey will become the first player in history to begin his career with 19 made field goals without a miss this Sunday if he converts his first against the Philadelphia Eagles. It’s safe to say that Aubrey won’t have to go back to coding with the way he is playing at the moment. Not a bad backup option though.
