Quarterbacking is hard, as it is one of, if not the toughest, positions in football. The NFL QBs have to be sharp and thoroughly prepared to call plays, read defenses, and distribute the ball to their play-makers while occasionally creating magic. They touch the ball the most number of times during a game, and the success of a team mostly depends on the quarterback’s play.

It is also one of the most criticized positions in football. A QB is often held accountable after a loss as everything offensively flows through him. The Dallas Cowboys’ LB Micah Parsons has dismantled a lot of offenses and their QBs throughout his career, but he feels like social media can be overly critical of young QBs such as Zach Wilson and Daniel Jones. He recently called out people who overly criticize struggling QBs.

“I just feel like so many times the media just always throws out negative things on certain players. It’s almost like bullying online. We’re just being social media bullies,” Parsons said. “You really hate to see that. It’s one thing if you say I’m garbage to my face on the field and we’re competing and we’re hammering it out and we’re in the moment. But it’s another thing when a guy can’t defend himself. You don’t know what’s going on in his room.”

He further continued by saying, “I just feel like as humans and as people who have these platforms, we should just be better and more mindful of how we talk about people and how those things can impact someone. You never know what their story is. So I’m just calling out the social media bullies because we really shouldn’t be like that.”

Parsons himself had some character concerns prior to being drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2021 NFL Draft. He also talked about how that judgment stung and said, “People need better perspective.” He has been one of the best defensemen in the NFL since being drafted and is a prime contender to win the Defensive Player of the Year award this season.

Micah Parsons defends Giants QB Daniel Jones after poor game against the Seahawks

The New York Giants played the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night football in week 4. The Giants got destroyed by the Seahawks defense as QB Daniel Jones had another poor outing. He received a lot of criticism for his lackluster performance, but Dallas Cowboys’ LB Micah Parsons came to QBs defense on Twitter after the game.

In a video posted on Twitter, Jones was seen running for his life as soon as the ball was snapped due to a breakdown in the offensive line. He was sacked 11 times in that game as the front line of the Giants struggled to protect their QB. Parsons commented on that video, saying, “Very easy to say it’s Daniel Jones.”

Parsons is himself a stellar defenseman and a QB’s nightmare. He knows how poor the Giants’ OL is since he was part of the Cowboys team that dismantled the Giants 40-0 in Week 1 this season. Jones was sacked seven times against the Cowboys. They will meet again in week 10 of this season.
