“Will we pay a price?”: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones identifies major CONCERN on rookie Tyler Smith replacing Tyron Smith this season

This season in the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys will have to rely on rookie offensive guard Tyler Smith more than they had anticipated, and Jerry Jones is well aware of the potential problems that may arise from that in the upcoming NFL season.
The youngster will fill in for veteran left tackle Tyron Smith, who suffered a torn hamstring and will probably be sidelined until December. Tyler Smith was likely to take over as the backup left guard if Tyron Smith stayed healthy. The 21-year-old will now spend the majority of the season covering Dak Prescott’s blind side.
Tyler Smith was selected by the Cowboys with a first-round choice, indicating that they had big hopes for him. It was always anticipated that he would become their starting left tackle in the future. Jerry Jones showed faith in the Tulsa product during his interview with the “K&C Masterpiece” on Friday. He also set fair expectations for himself.
Jerry Jones said, “Well, I think Tyler is going to get his man. What’s that mean? He’s going to get his man, and I think he’s going to do a good job of it. Is he not going to get him all the time? Yes. We need to have somebody there to help him out, we need to keep some out, to cut some out of the offense, you need to cut it out a little bit and help him out. But I think he’ll get his man, I think he will get better. I think that’s the nature of the position and football.”
Jerry Jones has trust that the Dallas Cowboys have a reliable option in Tyler

Jerry Jones continued saying, “He’s got everything we hoped and more when we drafted him. That’s exactly what we drafted him for, to come in and be the left tackle. So he had a really outstanding camp, all of the things are there. Do I wish we had Tyron? Yes. Will we get Tyron back? Likely. But in the meantime, he’s going to come in and he’s going to get a Harvard doctorate degree at playing left tackle between now and then. Will we pay some price for it? Yes. Can we win with him paying a price? I think so, yes.”
Tyler Smith is learning from this experience early on, which may make him a stronger player in the long term. The Cowboys merely need to pray that the growing pains don’t cost them games in the 2022 NFL season.
