“I couldn’t say that,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones makes CRYPTIC response to signing free agent Odell Beckham Jr this season
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is one of the best masterminds in the NFL, and he just seems to know when and what is best suited for his franchise. The veteran owner recently spoke of the chances that the Cowboys would look to Odell Beckham Jr.
Odell Beckham Jr is currently serving some time off the circuit, after which he was last seen on the pitch during the Super Bowl encounter last season for the Los Angeles Rams. He showed exceptional performances for the Rams and ended up leading them to a Super Bowl title.
Odell Beckham Jr is one of the highly courted names going around the NFL currently and Jerry Jones was asked about it
The 33-year-old showed glimpses of his true self in that particular encounter against the Cincinnati Bengals last season but unfortunately injured his knee in the first half. Since then, he has had to undergo rehab and chances are that he will eventually return to the scene in November.
The Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, remained coy in his answer when asked about the prospect of signing Odell Beckham Jr. and also backed his young resources to get more experience with the chances that they’ll get this season.
“Well, I couldn’t say that,” Jones said while answering the question about OBJ joining the franchise as a free agent, as reported by FanNation. “I think you can get in a little water with that one.”
“We’ve got young depth,” Jones said. “I’m as interested in seeing that depth get repetition and get to play as I am (seeing) a so-called ‘splashy’ (addition). …Any time we can put a younger player out there and get him reps, you’re ahead of the game.”
