Dak Prescott, the NFL’s reigning Walter Payton Man of the Year, has been in the league for seven years. During his time in the NFL, he has earned a lot of respect from his peers and fans. Prescott plays for the Dallas Cowboys, which is the most scrutinized team in the league. Naturally, when the team fails to perform, Prescott gets a lot of blame. However, the QB never complained about it and took it all in stride.

According to Prescott, whatever he has achieved so far in the league, is because of his late mother, Peggy Prescott. His mother passed away a decade ago, on November 3, 2013, due to colon cancer. Since then, Prescott has been helping people to deal with adversity through his Faith Fight Finish Foundation. Prescott talked about his mother earlier this year when he was presented with the Man of the Year award in February.

Prescott said during his acceptance speech after winning the coveted award earlier this year:

My mother, Peggy. My mother was, and still is, my moral compass. And through my own charitable contributions, I seek to share her strength and courage with the world. My mother told me when she was diagnosed with cancer that all greats have a story, allow me to be your story. My mother inspired me and motivated me to be great beyond the circumstances.

Prescott has had a good season so far this year. After a career-worst season last year, he came into the 2023 season with a lot of doubts hanging over his head. However, the Cowboys have been great through the first half of the season and Prescott has led the way with 10 touchdowns and a rating of 97.8.

The Dallas Cowboys destroyed the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday, 43-20. Cowboys’ quarterback Dak Prescott diced the Rams up, completing 25 of his 31 passes for 304 yards and four touchdowns. He did that while wearing special Air Jordans cleats. Prescott won the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year award earlier this year for his contributions to the community.

On Sunday, the QB sported the ‘Man of the Year’ Air Jordans and dismantled the Rams in Dallas. Designer Ryan M. Smith shared some pictures of the cleats on Instagram during the game. Smith said the cleats were:

Inspired by his award fit when he [Prescott] was named Man of the Year last year by the NFL.

Prescott set up the Faith Fight Finish Foundation in 2017 in honor of his late mother, Peggy Prescott. The foundation helps people dealing with cancer. Prescott has been involved with it and works to help cancer patients deal with their adversities.
