Dak Prescott, the Dallas Cowboys‘ quarterback enters this season on the back of a disappointing 2022 season end. He led the league in interceptions and had a poor performance in Cowboys’ defeat to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional round last season. Since then, Prescott has come under a lot of criticism and there are doubts about his ability to take his team to the Super Bowl.

On The Carton Show on FS1, host Craig Carton insinuated that there aren’t a lot of NFL teams who would trade their quarterback straight up for Dak Prescott. “How many NFL franchises in the NFL would trade their quarterback straight up for Dak Prescott, right now, without blinking?” he asked on his show. The response to that question suggests that there are not a lot of teams who would be willing to do that trade.

The criticism for Prescott this offseason has been coming thick and fast from every direction. Being the QB1 for the America’s Team garners a lot of media attention and unfortunately for Prescott, the attention seems to be negative this season. Prescott had his worst season last year since 2017 and there are concerns about his ability to carry his team to the ultimate prize.

Prescott, who turned 30 last month, has two years left on his deal after signing a 4-year extension in 2021. Although he has been a solid quarterback for the Cowboys, he will be expected to carry the team to the Super Bowl. His window to do so is closing fast and he will have to start the season with a bang to set the tone for himself and his team.

On Tuesday during a training camp session, Dallas Cowboys’ cornerback Trevon Diggs had some words for the team’s starting QB Dak Prescott. In a viral video, Diggs was seen yelling to Prescott to “shut your b—- ass up” and Prescott lightly threw the ball at Diggs. Since that incident, both the parties have said that there was nothing wrong with some healthy competition and they have the utmost respect for one another.

During the team’s first preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, both Diggs and Prescott seemed to be in good spirits and were seen having some fun on the sidelines. The video of them shadowboxing each other on the sidelines suggests that there is nothing wrong between the two.

Both Diggs and Prescott will be hoping to help the team win the Super Bowl for the first time since 1996. The Cowboys lost to the Jaguars in their preseason opener 23-28.
