There are lot of debates about what the Dallas Cowboys should do with quarterback Dak Prescott, who is entering the final year of his current deal. Many believe, Prescott doesn’t deserve a big new deal due to his playoff failures. However, the Cowboys QB is confident about getting a contract extension done.

Prescott, who recently became a father, shed light on his contract situation during his recent appearance at a Children’s Cancer Fund event. He believes the Cowboys would offer him a contract extension soon to address the humongous salary cap hit.

This year, the Dallas Cowboys have a lot on their plate. Apart from Dak Prescott, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is also in line for an extension with the Dallas-based football team. A few days back, Micah Parsons, the team’s linebacker, claimed that Lamb’s extension would be a priority for the team.

The Lamb-Prescott duo performed highly last season. The Cowboys had a great regular season, with Lamb and Prescott contributing a lot to their success. The team managed to win the NFC East Division with a record of 12 wins and five losses. They barely missed the No.1 seed in the NFC conference. Prescott had a great individual season and was well-supported by Lamb.

As per reports, Prescott has asked for a contract worth $60 million. It will be bit difficult, considering the cap space left for the team. Hence, Jones’ decision will be important here.

Jerry Jones is going all in even if he fails to extend Dak Prescott

At the NFL Scouting Combine, Jerry Jones was uncertain about extending veteran QB Prescott. However, the owner said that the Cowboys would remain all in even if the team failed to give the extension to Dak Prescott. He hinted that the unity of the team would not get hampered.

What is the all in approach? I'm not going all in if don't get an extension? We don't have a situation like that. You just have to adjust where you going [or] how you going all in.

As previously mentioned, Lamb and Prescott’s extension would be the top priority for Jones in the NFL off-season. Apart from that, they are also expected to add some players to strengthen their defensive unit.

Jones would look to add an off-ball linebacker either via a free agency or trade. He could also take a shot at signing the veteran pass rusher Shaquil Barrett, who is set to become a free agent on March 13.
