“Only award he’s ever gonna get”- Dak Prescott gets DISRESPECTED by fans despite winning the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award

Dak Prescott won the Walter Payton Man of the Year award.
The highly anticipated NFL Honors ceremony took place yesterday. The winner of the 2022 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award was Dak Prescott, the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. The award is given every year annually to players who contribute the most and give back to society and their communities as a whole.
Dak Prescott has numerous charitable organizations, the most prominent being the Faith Fight Finish Foundation, an institute that prioritizes research on colon cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention, a cause that is dear to his heart. The QB had lost his mother Peggy to colon cancer in 2013 and as a result, ensured his foundation focuses on researching it.
Dak has also donated $1 million dollars to improve police training and avert systemic racism. This was after the inhumane treatment of George Floyd by the police in 2020. He is also co-chair of the Children’s Cancer Fund Gala, which contributes funds for research on pediatric cancer. Dak Prescott has been cheered on by fans for being honest about his battles with mental health and all of his charitable efforts are commendable.

However, despite the quarterback having won a rather prestigious award, one for a noble cause, fans were not having it and trolled Prescott on Twitter. Cowboy fans are still not happy with Dak’s performance in the playoffs this time and considering the memories of losing to the 49ers is still fresh, Dak’s reputation amongst fans has taken a slight hit. Irrespective of the criticism, Dak Prescott is doing a phenomenal job when it comes to giving back to the community and was rightfully acknowledged for those contributions at the NFL Honors. His foundations are tackling issues that need more attention and research. He deserves props for that.
