New year and a new haircut for Dak Prescott. Will it bring the luck that the Dallas Cowboys so badly desire to finally break the circle of post-season disappointment?
The Cowboys fell prey to the Green Bay Packers at home in the wild-card round. It came as a surprise, as they were 8-0 at Arlington in 2023.
Prescott and Co. will once again fight for supremacy in the NFC East, looking to bag back-to-back divisional titles. But they will face stiff competition like last time from rivals the San Francisco 49ers, who reached the Super Bowl, the Philadelphia Eagles, who, after a blistering start, fell apart near the end of last season, and the New York Giants, who are building for a resurgence.
The 30-year-old knows that Jerry Jones may be a generous man and has kept faith in him all this time, but he too will run out of patience with the constant failure. However, before the NFL battleground rages on, Dak Prescott has opted for a new haircut that has caught the eye of fans.

Abel Hernandez is a Texan barber and an avid Cowboys supporter. For a while, he has been the go-to guy for the Cowboys players to try out something new with their hair.
On Sunday, Hernandez shared a photo of Prescott’s latest trim. The uniqueness of the cut has sparked some wild reactions from football fans on social media.
Will the Cowboys extend Prescott’s contract?
Even before the season kicks off, one answer that every Cowboys fan would love to know is whether Dak Prescott will get a contract extension or if they will look for a new quarterback. Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk revealed that ‘an extension’ is on the cards as the two-time pro bowler’s current deal expires after the 2024 season. Prescott will eventually hit a $59.4 million salary cap.
When reporters asked Jerry Jones about what he was thinking about their quarterback’s future on Saturday, the veteran Cowboys owner replied,
We don't need to, but we can if everybody wants to solve it. You can get in and get on the same page and see if you can come to an agreement. If you can't, what we have in place works.
Whether Prescott earns a blockbuster deal or not, he certainly made a case for himself during the regular season last year. He racked up 4,516 yards, a league-best 36 touchdowns, and nine interceptions while completing 69.5 percent of his throws.
