The Dallas Cowboys are back. Not that they ever left, but many counted them out after a forgettable performance against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5.

They did little to clear those doubts after a close win against the Los Angeles Chargers the following week. However, Dak Prescott and the Cowboys dismantled the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday by 23 points in a statement win.

There was a lot that the Cowboys did right against the Rams. Their defense was on point from the beginning, and the special teams came up with some special plays.

The Cowboys’ offense did its thing, with Prescott having one of his best games of the season. The QB completed 25 of his 31 pass attempts for 304 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception. He was ecstatic with his team’s performance as he talked about keeping it going against the mighty Philadelphia Eagles next Sunday.

Let's make it three next week. I'm in a rhythm. It feels good, I mean talked about the system, we've talked about it since going back to the spring and things just really coming into play. A lot of preparation, being prepared for these games, these opponents. A lot goes into it. And a lot of it's the other guys, so it's not just me.
Prescott said after the game when asked about his rhythm and connection with the offense.

He further continued:

Part of playing this position, you know, when other guys are playing their best, it makes you look good. We'll take it but it's early in the year, we've got to keep rolling as I said, we to keep taking this momentum and keep getting better and better. 5-2, looking forward to taking a step next week on the road.

The Cowboys improved to 5-2 after the win. With the Niners faltering after a great start, the Cowboys have a chance to finally beat their nemesis and reach the Super Bowl this season. They still have to get through the Eagles, who have the best record in the league at 7-1. These two teams will face off against each other next Sunday in Philadelphia.

Jerry Jones talks about Dak Prescott’s performance against the Rams

The Dallas Cowboys improved to 5-2 after a dominant win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. They won that game largely on the back of a stellar performance by their QB, Dak Prescott. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones believes that it was the quarterback’s best performance of the season so far.

Some of those throws he made were just so accurate and timely, and to me, this is one of Dak’s best games. Period. It was a great game to have for our fans here at home.
Jones said after the game

Prescott finished with a passer rating of 133.7.

The Cowboys will now head to Philadelphia to play the Philadelphia Eagles in their next game on Sunday. Both of these teams are contenders this season, and it might prove to be a preview for a potential NFC Championship game.
