What do the Dallas Cowboys and New Year resolutions have in common? They both always give rise to expectations and hopes that things will get better but after a couple of weeks, they always end up causing disappointment.

America’s team lost to the Green Bay Packers in the most Cowboys’ fashion ever. Dak Prescott threw for 400 yards and 3 touchdowns with 2 interceptions in a loss and things went downhill for them from the 1st quarter.

After the team’s 32-48 loss to the Packers, one thing is clear, Mike McCarthy is as good as gone this offseason. This year was his last chance to prove that he could take this team to the Super Bowl but he fell short of the goal, again. This has led to the rumors surrounding Jerry Jones’ interest in Bill Belichick gaining traction because, after this, he is the only man who can save this team.

He did mention that he will need time to think this through and will have a sit down with McCarthy in the coming days. But judging solely from Jones’ reactions when he was sitting in the box during the game, it seems he has already made his mind up.
