Another scary incident happened in a football game as the Buffalo Bills running back Damien Harris suffered a brutal injury in their week 6 home game against the New York Giants on Sunday.

During the final few minutes of the second quarter of the game, running back Harris suffered a neck injury during a third downplay. In the only carry Harris had on the game, the running back got the ball from his quarterback Josh Allen, and tried to rush for a few yards when he was met by the Giants linebacker Bobby Okereke. The Giants’ LB managed to tackle down Harris after a struggle.

But after the whistle was blown, the 6th-year running back stayed down on the ground and didn’t get up. The medical personnel immediately ran to the ground to check on Harris. The play was halted for several minutes while the doctors were looking at Harris as the running back stayed immobile for a few minutes. He was then placed on a stretcher and was loaded into an ambulance.

In a positive sign, the running back gave a thumbs up to the crowd as he was being placed in the ambulance. He was then transferred to a local hospital for further evaluation. Eventually, the players took the field, and the game resumed.

Following the scary injury, the Bills social media team gave an update on Damien Harris and revealed that he has movements in his legs and arms. “He has movement in his arms and legs. Harris is being taken to hospital for further testing,” Bills’ PR team wrote in a tweet.

Football fans on social media were left dispirited following the scary injury to the Bills running back Damien Harris on Sunday. Many said the scenes brought back memories of another horrific incident that happened earlier this year when the Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest on the field during a game.

On the sporting side of things, the Bills managed to secure a 14-9 victory against the Giants in a close game. With that victory, the Bills improved to 4-2, but they still have a lot of work to do in their offensive unit that has been very inconsistent in the ongoing NFL season so far.
