As the league approaches the divisional round weekend, only eight quarterbacks now have a shot to lead their team to Super Bowl glory. Ahead of the divisional round weekend, ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky made a list of five scariest QBs remaining in contention. In that list, Orlovsky leaves out the San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy and the Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud, which doesn’t sit well with NFL fans.

During a recent episode of the ESPN show First Take, analyst Dan Orlovsky shared a list of five scariest quarterbacks remaining in the Super Bowl contention. His list went Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, and Jordan Love, in that particular order.

Orlovsky caught massive heat for leaving the Niners QB Brock Purdy and the Texans QB C.J. Stroud off the list. Both Purdy and Stroud had a remarkable season and were in the MVP conversation for the most part. Besides, Purdy is part of the reason the Niners are considered one of the scariest teams in the league.

On the other side, the rookie signal-caller C.J. Stroud is the major reason the Texans are still competing for the Super Bowl. Stroud exceeded everyone’s expectations and is a frontrunner to bag the Offensive Rookie of the Year award for the 2023 season. So, Orlovsky leaving the two quarterbacks pissed off many people.

Besides, putting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield and the Green Bay Packers QB Joran Love ahead of Purdy and Stroud led to a lot of fans blasting the ESPN analyst. Purdy and Stroud had a better campaign and, in many people’s eyes, they are scarier opponents than both Mayfield and Love.

NFL fans on social media, especially the 49ers and the Texans, were livid with Dan Orlovsky for leaving out quarterbacks Brock Purdy and C.J. Stroud off his top 5 scariest QBs remaining in the playoffs.

Nonetheless, Purdy and the Niners are set to take on the Jordan Love-led Packers in the divisional round game this Saturday and fans will find out who’s scarier in that competition.

In another divisional round game, C.J. Stroud and the Texans will take on Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens this Saturday for the right to play in the conference championship game.
