Jets QB Zach Wilson didn’t have the best of games against the Patriots as they lost the encounter to the highly organized Bill Belichick-led Patriots.

Wilson has always had a tough time performing against the Patriots as last season the 2nd overall draft pick was abysmal. And it was no surprise when the Jets’ QB was received with lots of criticism after the game.

NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky had some tough love for Zach Wilson on ESPN’s show ‘Get Up’ on Monday morning. Orlovsky thinks that Wilson is still a bit immature, and he needs to grow the fudge up.

“There’s a difference between carelessness and aggression.” Dan Orlovsky stated on ESPN’s show ‘Get Up’. “There’s a difference between confidence and ego. Right now, you play with such ego, such carelessness, such recklessness with the football.”

Zach Wilson is talented and can be a great QB down the line as he showed some moments of magic in the dull Patriots game and even Dan Orlovsky agreed to the point.

“This means you have to grow up,” Dan Orlovsky said. “Right now, you’re holding your football team and certainly your offense back. You ain’t playing against the Mountain West anymore, dude. This is the NFL. And at some point, your organization is going to look at you and say ‘You ain’t the guy.’”

Zach Wilson had an agonizing game against the Patriots, as he wasn’t able to throw good passes regularly. Wilson was impressive in the second half, but his two interceptions at the end of the game broke all momentum for the young QB.

“Every time I get out of the pocket, it just gets frustrating to throw the ball away,” Zach Wilson said after the loss to the Patriots, “and that’s what I’ve done the last four weeks to put us in a good position to not turn the ball over and for us to win, and so I need to just be able to keep doing that when something’s not there. It gets old getting out and not seeing anything there.”

The Jets are currently second in the AFC East and are fighting for the top spot in the division. Although if the Jets are to fight for something more, then QB Zach Wilson will need to show up for the whole game and be more consistent.
