“We’re holding them accountable,” Dan Snyder in MORE trouble as DC attorney files another lawsuit against the Commanders owner

“We’re holding them accountable,” Dan Snyder in MORE trouble as DC attorney files another lawsuit against the Commanders owner

Dan Snyder is one of the most controversial team owners ever. The Washington Commanders’ owner has been in numerous controversies since he took over as the owner of the team.

Though the biggest controversy of them is the workplace misconduct lawsuit that was filed against Snyder. The Commanders’ owner was accused of a hostile work environment and sexual harassment at the workplace, which led to scrutiny from the media. To make matters worse, Snyder had hired the Bank Of America to sell the team or a percentage of it as all the other NFL team owners were asking for the sale of the Commanders.

D.C. attorney General Karl Racine filed a lawsuit against Dan Snyder, this time alleging that the owner duped the fans into buying season tickets and kept them in the dark just to get hefty amounts of profit.

“For years the team and its owner have caused very real and very serious harm and then lied about it to dodge accountability and to continue to rake in profits,” Racine said Thursday. “So far they seem to have gotten away with it, but that stops today.”

According to the investigation conducted, Snyder lied to the ticket holders about the hostile work environment and sexual harassment urging the fans to buy more tickets to get more profits.

“In fact, the evidence shows Snyder was not only aware of the toxic culture within his organization, he encouraged it and he participated in it,” Racine said. “Mr. Snyder exerted a high level of personal control over everything the Commanders did and his misconduct gave others permission to treat women in the same demeaning manner.”

Karl Racine wants the NFL to release all the league’s findings when they investigated Dan Snyder’s workplace culture.

The Commanders and the NFL started an investigation to look into workplace misconduct, but they entered into an agreement with owner Snyder and the investigation ended there. Karl Racine wants to continue the investigation.

“Does any part of this investigation sound independent? Does any of this sound like accountability?” Racine said. “Of course not. That’s why we’re suing.”

The league reacted to the investigation by Karl Racine and the NFL’s vice president of communications. Brian McCarthy swiftly rejected the allegations as baseless.

Dan Snyder and Karl Racine are in a serious battle currently and will go to court. On the other hand, the Commanders are struggling currently as they are last in their division and will face the Texans in their next game.
