“There’s no trade that’s going to happen,” Darren Waller reveals Las Vegas Raiders’ ultimatum given to him ahead of the new season

Darren Waller is not leaving the Las Vegas Raiders anytime soon, or atleast not during this offseason. The 29-year old revealed that the franchise has already made it clear that they are not looking to trade him off to another franchise.
Reports in the media increased speculations that Darren Waller was headed to the Green Bay Packers as part of a trade deal, but the franchise have cleared their stance on those rumours. Recently, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr also made it clear that he was in no mood to lose out on his star tight end ahead of the next season.
Darren Waller wants to stay put at the Las Vegas Raiders
While speaking with Zach Gelb of CBS Sports Radio, Waller revealed the types of conversations he has had with the organization regarding his future. Waller also said that he himself had no intention of leaving the franchise and is enjoying his time with the Raiders.
“Yeah, I’ve had talks with the team and they said that’s not a thing that’s happening and there’s no trade that’s going to happen,” Waller said. “Like I said, we’re just focusing on football.”
Darren Waller also wants to build a good relationship with Raiders’ head coach Josh McDaniels as he hopes to get familiar with the offensive system in place at the Raiders.
“I didn’t really have much of a reaction and I’m focused on learning the offensive system here in Vegas,” said Waller, whose learning the playbook of new head coach Josh McDaniels, “building relationships with the coaches and just enjoying working with my teammates while I have the opportunity. It’s a business, whatever happens happens. I’m enjoying my time here in Vegas. I’m loving the new staff and the new challenges that are in place. I’m focused on what I can control.”
