After the 30-12 crazy victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, the Chicago Bears earned their second win this season, standing at 2-5. However, Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams thinks otherwise for the Bears.
Prior to the game, Adams was more willing to ask to get more balls, than to enter Week 7 with his team’s game against the Bears. Therefore, from the beginning of the matchup, Adams’ request was bestowed.
Adams completed the game with seven catches for 57 yards, leading to a loss by a team that played with an undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent as their quarterback.
During a post-game interview with Paul Gutierrez of ESPN, Raiders wide receiver Adams said:
I mean, not to discredit anything [the Bears] did-- I feel like they played a pretty solid game all around -- but it definitely had nothing to do with any crazy things that they did.
He further added:
It’s more [about] us hurting ourselves….We’ve just got to mix it up a little better. I think it’s about just keeping the defense honest and making it a little easier on the quarterback. We’ve got to do it as wideouts, we’ve got to get the run game going and all these things that we’ve been struggling with all year, it’s making it tougher on the quarterback.
One of the game’s instances that cost Raiders hefty was in the fourth quarter, a throw made in the end zone that Adams caught but could not secure a touchdown on. The WR promised himself that in the next game, he would do this part to make sure the team secures victory. This way they all would work together and try to coordinate better in the next game.
Raiders stand firm on keeping Davante Adams despite trade rumors
Disregarding all the speculations, the Raiders have loudly announced in the NFL that they are not going to trade their wide receiver, Davante Adams. An ESPN source stated that the team is not ready to trade Adams before the deadline of October 31, no matter how unhappy he is with the offense.

The Raiders stated they would not release the All-pro, even if he is open to trade. Adams signed a five-year contract with the Raiders in 2022, and he is considered the key element in the offense coached by Josh McDaniels.
The speculation of Adams being open to trade began last week when the wide receiver expressed his frustration over his position in the Raiders’ offense, publicly. Sources say, that last year, there were plenty of NFL teams ready to trade Adams but it’s not sure whether they reached out to the Raiders or not, since the speculation.
