Davante Adams doesn’t have words to describe Raiders’ yet another MNF loss minutes after smashing his helmet on the sidelines
Adams refrained from disclosing much but his actions on the sidelines did the talking for him.

Just a couple of days ago, Davante Adams revealed that he was happy to be a Las Vegas Raiders player, and that it was his choice to move to Sin City despite the occasional hiccups here and there. However, Monday night’s result left him frustrated on the sidelines.
They were on the road once again, facing the Detroit Lions, who were 5-2 prior to the game. But there was good news, as Jimmy Garoppolo was back to take charge of the quarterback spot after missing last week’s game due to back problems.
But they were unable to click, as Adams only had one reception from seven targets the entire game for 11 yards. The star wide receiver has been vocal about not getting the ball enough, but this was a new low. He was already not happy that Derek Carr was not part of the team—the reason he came to play for the Raiders—and slammed his helmet on the sidelines to vent his lack of productivity. After the game, Adams spoke with the media about the 26-14 loss.
Honestly, I don't know what to say at this moment. I truly don't. I wish I had the words to say something that's not going to get blown up in the media and taken out of context.
Robert Griffin III wants the Raiders to trade away Davante Adams
It was an onslaught by the Lions last night; they were making full use of the occasion. This was their first prime-time game since 2019, and they took full advantage, coming out of the block quickly with three field goals back to back until Raiders running back Josh Jacobs rushed his second touchdown of the season.
Defensive end Maxx Crosby was having another great night with five merciless tackles. But away from all that, Adams was merely a spectator. He ran all his routes and yet did receive any passes from Garoppolo.
This was a sad scene, and social media acknowledged that. ESPN analyst Robert Griffin III had seen enough and tweeted that the Raiders should part ways with the six-time Pro Bowler for his sake.
Raiders should do Davante Adams a solid and trade him. He deserves it. He came there to play for his favorite team; they got rid of the QB he came there to play with, and he has one catch tonight. Don’t subject him to any more of this dysfunction.Robert Griffin III on X
A trade talk at this point is easier said than done. The deadline ends on October 31 at 4 p.m. As RG3 mentioned, Adams grew up being a Raiders fan when it was still based out of Oakland. The 30-year-old was born and raised in Palo Alto, about a 40-minute drive from Oakland.
He also commands a lot of money, signing a five-year, $141.25 million contract extension, as per Spotrac. Finding a franchise that would take him on will be limited just because of the salary cap. However, there will be interested suitors. Maybe Jerry Jones would pounce on the opportunity, seeing as they are open for business. Or maybe a reunion with Aaron Rodgers at New York Jets.
