Aaron Rodgers is all in on the New York Jets Super Bowl run under his leadership. The veteran quarterback recently took a massive $35 million pay cut by restructuring his contract just a couple of days ago. Rodgers’ unexpected and shocking move to restructure his contract has led to many wild rumors. In that trend, now NFL analyst Craig Carton claims that soon stories could break out that Davante Adams would soon want to leave the Las Vegas Raiders to reunite with his former QB in New York.
“I guarantee you there’s gonna be stories out there now that Davante Adams wants out of Las Vegas,” said Carton in a recent episode of the Fox Sports’ The Carton Show. “I’m telling you now there’s gonna be stories at some point that Davante Adams wants out of Las Vegas and where does he gonna want go?”
“The Jets,” blurted out Tim Hardaway, the cohost of the show. Carton predicted a few days that Dalvin Cook wants to join the NY Jets despite other reports suggesting that Cook will play in Miami. And now, all signs are pointing toward the New York-based football team landing the 4-time Pro Bowl running back Cook in free agency soon.
Carton cited his insider information as to why he believes Adams might want to leave the Raiders. It is not that big of a surprise given everything that’s happened in the offseason.

Will there be a potential Aaron Rodgers-Davante Adams reunion?
Ever since Derek Carr left the Raiders and Aaron Rodgers joined the Jets, there have been multiple reports suggesting Adams might want to join the Jets to reunite with his long-time teammate. But now, Rodgers taking a massive $35 million pay cut has ignited the rumors.
It’s no secret that Adams is not that happy in Las Vegas ever since they released his collegiate teammate Derek Carr. Carr was the main reason behind the All-Pro receiver leaving Green Bay back in 2022.
But that is not the only reason. Adams signed a massive 5-year deal with the Raiders in 2022 worth up to $140 million. That shows how much the Raiders value the pass catcher.
If they think about trading him, they would expect a lot in return, which could be a huge risk for the Jets. Furthermore, even if he was traded, Adams would need to restructure his contract in New York like Rodgers did to fit into cap space.
And with New York’s taxes, Adams would get paid a lot less with the Jets than what he would get paid if stayed in Vegas. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that Adams would even want to be traded unless he’s chasing a ring.
