Tensions are growing in Las Vegas as Davante Adams shows visible frustrations on the sidelines following another horrible outing by the Las Vegas Raiders. On Monday night, the Raiders went against the Detroit Lions in their week 8 NFL matchup. In the tough road game, the Raiders ended up suffering a big loss, resulting in Adams exploding with frustration on the sidelines.
During the final minutes of the 4th quarter, the Raiders failed to convert a crucial 4th down when they were trailing by 12 points. After the failed 4th down attempt, Adams left the field early and went straight to the sideline bench where he viciously slammed his helmet and seemingly dropped an f-bomb.
After slamming the helmet on the sideline bench, a frustrated Adams could be seen sitting on the bench with his hands on his head, like he was regretting something. The short video of Adams slamming his helmet in frustration was posted by an X user named Albert Breer.
The video went viral on social media and accumulated more than 2.3 million views within a couple of hours. Check out the footage attached below.
Adams’ frustrations seem to be coming from the Raiders’ constant struggles in the ongoing season. Furthermore, he is also reportedly upset about his role in the Raiders’ offensive unit. In the game against the Lions, the All-Pro pass catcher only caught 1 pass for 11 yards.
Davante Adams could’ve had multiple touchdowns in the game as he burnt the Lions’ secondary on multiple occasions, but he was overthrown by the Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. In the end, the Raiders ended up losing the game and fell to 3-5. They are still in the hunt for a wild card spot but it will be a tough ride for them hereafter.
Davante Adams left searching for words in postgame interview
After having an outburst on the sidelines during the Monday Night Football game, the Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams was very careful with what he had to say about his team’s performance in the postgame interview.
I honestly don't know what to say at this moment, I wish I had the words to say something that's not going to get blown up in the media and taken out of context.Adams in the post Lions game interview
Adams further said that he is frustrated at the moment because of the constant struggles. The All-Pro pass catcher hasn’t been having a good season for his standards.
He has only registered one 100-plus receiving yards game in the ongoing season so far. Nonetheless, with just hours left before the trade deadline, it doesn’t seem Adams will be representing any other team in the ongoing season. It looks like he is stuck with the Las Vegas-based football team, at least till March.
