David Njoku, the tight end for the Cleveland Browns, displayed remarkable courage when he took to the field to play against the Baltimore Ravens just a day after sustaining serious burns to his face in a frightening firepit incident. Despite his injuries, he not only participated in the game but also wore a “Hallow Mask” as he led his team in both receptions and receiving yards.

Njoku recently posted photos on his Instagram, showing his burned face. He captioned the post “Legacy” and shared six pictures, although it’s uncertain when they were taken. In one of the photos, his face appeared less burnt. Njoku had a week off during the Browns’ bye week, which gave him time to heal.

Although the Browns lost the game in blowout against the Ravens, Njoku showed enormous mental strength and courage to got out there on the field. He earned himself a lot of fans for his act as a lot of them praised the tight end. JPAFootball on Twitter wrote, “Dude… how did David Njoku play a football game with these burns on his face?? Talk about toughness…”

Njoku was drafted by the Browns in 2017 and has been a vital player for them over the years. The Browns, coming from a bye week, will face the San Francisco 49ers in their next game.

Fans were shocked to see David Njoku’s burnt face

The Cleveland Browns-Baltimore Ravens game in week 4 wasn’t a spectacular one. It was, however, a game that earned Browns TE David Njoku a lot of fans. Njoku played the game with burns on his face after suffering a terrible accident at his home the previous day.

Fans on social media were stunned to see Njoku’s injured face. He shared some pictures of his injury on his Instagram account. A lot of fans wished him a speedy recovery while some took a shot at Browns’ QB Deshaun Watson for not playing in the same game due to a shoulder injury. Check out some of the reactions below.

Njoku led his team in receptions and receiving yards but the Browns lost the game 3-28. They will now welcome the unbeaten San Francisco 49ers in their next game on Sunday. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Njoku play against the Niners this weekend as well.
