On Sunday, the Carolina Panthers, led by their rookie quarterback Bryce Young, went against the Jacksonville Jaguars in their week 17 game. The Panthers suffered an embarrassing loss against the Jaguars, leading to a frustrated David Tepper pouring drinks at a Jaguars fan from his suite.

In a short video posted by an Instagram user named c_honsberger, the Panthers owner David Tepper could be seen throwing his drink at a Jaguars fan before leaving his suite. The video cuts right after the Jaguars fan tries to confront the owner. The user captioned the video, “When the Panthers owner throws a drink on Jaguars fans.”

The brief video of the incident was then reposted by many people on social media, who demanded an explanation from the Panthers and the NFL. Check out the footage attached below.

Tepper, 66, brought the Carolina-based organization back in 2018. In his 5-year tenure, Tepper hasn’t seen his team reach the postseason or register a winning season. Every year in his tenure, the Panthers have hit a new low, and this year isn’t very different. The Panthers entered the season optimistically with a young quarterback and a newly revamped offensive unit.

However, once their season started, it became very clear they might’ve picked the wrong quarterback with their No.1 overall pick. As a result, the Panthers now have the worst record in the league, but that isn’t even the worst news.

Even with the worst record, they don’t have the No.1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft since they traded it to the Chicago Bears in last year’s draft to rope in Bryce Young. So, the future doesn’t seem very bright for Tepper and the Panthers fans unless Young turns his career around.

NFL and Panthers have no comment about David Tepper incident

After a video showing the Panthers owner David Tepper throwing his drinks at a Jaguars went viral on social media, fans started demanding answers from the league and the Carolina-based organization. But, both have refrained from commenting on the incident.

The league said it is aware of the David Tepper incident but it has no further comment at this time. On the other hand, a spokesperson for the Panthers simply declined to comment on the incident according to NBC Sports.

Nonetheless, the Panthers only have one game remaining in the 2023 NFL season and Bryce Young isn’t looking any better than he looked at the start of the season. The Panthers would hope for him to have a turnaround campaign in the 2024 season for their struggles to end.
