DeAndre Hopkins has had an interesting offseason until now. The talented WR has been linked with different clubs since the start of the offseason. However, not a single trade has been successful until now.

Although neither the Arizona Cardinals nor Hopkins have openly talked about a trade, there is still a possibility that the Cardinals WR will play for a different shirt by the start of the next season. If the WR had a choice, then he would have likely chosen to play with the Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson.

Hopkins was recently featured on the I AM ATHLETE podcast and spoke about Jackson in great detail. The 30-year-old WR has the utmost respect for the Ravens QB who has just signed a humongous deal with his team.

“I love Lamar Jackson,’” DeAndre Hopkins stated. “Lamar Jackson’s one of my favorite athletes since I’ve been watching sports. I’m a sports fan, so I was watching Lamar when he played Clemson … and I was like, ‘Who is this kid?'”

“I’ve been a fan of Lamar for a long time. Obviously, he’s one of the greats. I would be lying to sit here and say it wouldn’t be an honor one day, if my career allows me to play that long, to play with a great guy and a great quarterback like Lamar,” Hopkins couldn’t stop gushing about the 2019 season’s MVP.

Lamar Jackson was an interesting prodigy. He now has cemented himself as one of the best in the NFL due to his diverse playing style that the opposition finds hard to contemplate.

The NFL has many talented quarterbacks and there are more drafted each year to compete with them. DeAndre Hopkins has been around in the league for a long time to assess which QBs are decent and which are not.

On the I AM ATHLETE podcast, Hopkins rated the five best QBs he would like to play with and it had some surprise additions. The list included Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert, Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, MVP winner Patrick Mahomes, Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen, and none other than Lamar Jackson.

DeAndre Hopkins has immense praise for all the above-mentioned QBs and would jump at the opportunity to play with them. Sadly, the Cardinals organization doesn’t wish to trade their talented WR who still possess the incredible ability to change the game.
