After two dreadful years plagued with injuries, DeAndre Hopkins is back, better than ever. And he came bearing intense gifts for all those teams who rejected him during his process of rejuvenation.

Tennessee Titans‘ gameplay in week 14 was noteworthy. The team braced their wide receiver Hopkins, who took down an AFC powerhouse, the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football game. He led the offense strongly, finishing with a game-high seven catches for 124 yards along with a touchdown.

Earlier in the 2023 NFL offseason, Hopkins was expected to land a contending team, after being released by the Arizona Cardinals. However, the wideout faced many rejections, resulting in him finally signing with Titans.

Titans opened the wide receiver very late in the season, in week 14, but he sure didn’t mind as he believed he was there for his team when they needed him the most, especially facing a team like the Dolphins. He displayed his greatness and gained his old form back when defeated the opponent at 28-27.

When asked by the big game by Cameron Wolfe on the sidelines, wide receiver Hopkins gave out a strong message to all those teams who rejected him, saying he wasn’t good enough.

It feels great especially all the people that didn’t want me, all the teams that wrote me off, said I wasn’t no good, said I can’t go out there and get open, said I can’t compete--It feels good, man. I play with a chip on my shoulder, especially when this offseason, you know, it seemed like everybody said F U. So, it feels good to be able to show that I still got it. I feel like I’m getting better, man.

After the remarkable performance in week 14, Hopkins is assured he is with the right team and at a fine point in his career. In his NFL career, he has logged six seasons with 1,000 yards, and if continued this season, he would add another to the list.

DeAndre Hopkins’ remarkable chemistry with Will Levis

In the week 14 win against the Dolphins, Hopkins showed remarkable chemistry with his teammate Will Levis, after being powered by the quarterback. No one could have predicted the Titans (4-8) victory against the NFL-favorite Dolphins (9-5).

But in the end, the Titans defeated them, all thanks to the star duo of Levis and Hopkins. Quarterback Levis completed 23 out of his 38 passes for 327 yards along with one touchdown and one interception.

Levis also rushed four times for 15 yards. He later connected with WR Hopkins for an amazing 45-yard reception in the second quarter, recording it to be the best highlight from the game.
