“Don’t see him leaving,” Deebo Samuel highly confident that 49ers won’t let Brandon Aiyuk slip away
Samuel told Aiyuk that he needs to be patient, as he has done his part of raking up the numbers on the field.

It’s no rocket science to understand that the San Francisco 49ers fans want Brandon Aiyuk to remain in the Bay Area. His partner in crime, Deebo Samuel, is confident that the two parties will eventually come to a positive agreement.
Aiyuk recently finished the 4th season of his rookie contract, but the 49ers had already activated his 5th-season option last year. So there wasn’t much of a headache until his girlfriend shared a video hinting that the 25-year-old’s time at Levi’s Stadium was up.
However, Aiyuk himself thwarted her presumptuous clip, and since then, he and the 49ers are in a stalemate about an extension. Both sides want a long-term deal, but the Niners’ extremely low salary cap, even after the generous increase from the league, continues to be a hindrance.
Samuel, on the other hand, believes that there will be a resolution soon enough; Aiyuk just needs to be patient. But that itself is the hardest part. During a recent Facetime with Kay Adams on ‘Up and Adams‘, Samuel revealed that he doesn’t envision Aiyuk leaving San Francisco.
I don't see him [Brandon Aiyuk] leaving. I just told him, because I've been through it, that it's not going to be all fine and dandy like you think it's going to be. You've got to stay on course. You did everything possible that you did for you to be in a position.Samuel told Adams
What’s going to happen to Brandon Aiyuk?
The Arizona State alumnus had a year to remember en route to the 49ers Super Bowl run. He registered 75 receptions for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns. He is expected to earn around $12.53 million in his fourth year.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport believes that Brandon Aiyuk is in the 49ers’ future plans. He said,
My understanding is that obviously there are teams who would love to trade for the very, very talented young receiver. The 49ers firmly believe he is in their plans; I would expect them to get to work on a new deal for him, probably after free agency.
Meanwhile, 9ers general manager John Lynch confided that Aiyuk is in the mix for an extension. But it won’t be easy to pull off.
We have some challenges. We have a lot of good players, a lot of good players who we’ve rewarded. Brandon’s one that we think incredibly highly of; he's one of my favorite guys around our building.Lynch said as per 49ers Webzone during the NFL Combine last month.
Ayiuk is more than likely to remain in California. But on the flip side, if he does leave, there won’t be any shortage of suitors.
