Deebo Samuel was having a great game for the 49ers as they completely decimated the Tom Brady-led Bucs with a score of 35-7. The rookie QB Brock Purdy looked unplayable and Mr. Irrelevant did what Brady pulled off in the first game of his NFL career.

Samuel fumbled a three-yard run in the middle of the field just before half-time as he was tackled by the Bucs defender Rakeem Nunez-Roches.

While being tackled, Samuel’s ankle and knee rolled up in an awkward position, resulting in pain for the 49ers’ WR. The 26-year-old WR laid down on the same spot for some time after the play ended, as he was visibly seen in absolute pain. The medical team arrived to evaluate the WR, who was later carted off the field and was seen in tears hinting of a long-term injury for him.

The 49ers are in a precarious position currently as all their important players are being victims of injury just before the playoffs. Samuel was the latest addition to the list.

However, it was later confirmed that it isn’t a serious injury and just a high-ankle sprain. The 49ers WR was very lucky to have avoided a serious injury. Although it isn’t sure when he’ll come back to play for the team.

Deebo Samuel’s injury ignited outrage from NFL Twitter

Deebo Samuel’s injury wasn’t the first one in the 49ers squad and not a single team in the league has all the fit players. However, 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan is being blamed for the injury as he is known to make volatile and dangerous plays that often risk injuries.

NFL Twitter was enraged by yet another injury and pointed out that injuries could be their downfall this season. There were also many who blamed the Bucs for playing dirty football.

Samuel was applauded for his decision to sign a new contract as the extent of his injury is not yet known and he did a good thing looking out for himself according to NFL Twitter.

Samuel has believed to have avoided a major injury, which gives hope to all the 49ers fans as there are chances that the WR will make an appearance in a possible playoff run this season.

Deebo Samuel is expected to make a comeback, as his injury is not severe. The 49ers will need all the help they can get as they wish to challenge for the NFC title after defeating the Bucs.
