Defamation case refiled against Jerry Jones after earlier dismissal as woman claiming to be his daughter comes up with fresh allegations

In early 2023, a 26-year-old woman named Alexandra Davis claimed herself to be the daughter of Jerry Jones. She hit the Dallas Cowboys owner with a lawsuit to seek validation of her claim, which was later shot down by the court. Davis reportedly filed another lawsuit against the 81-year-old, his personal lawyer, Donald P. Jack, and the Jones family’s communications consultant, Jim Wilkinson, on Tuesday.

Federal Judge Robert W. Schroeder III, who dismissed the case, found that the statements she alleged were defamatory. He cited a couple of ESPN articles that covered the lawsuit, seeking acknowledgment of being the biological daughter of Jones.

Davis revealed that Jones, Jack, and Wilkinson had a plan for a smear campaign against her. She claimed that the information about her being an extortionist was completely false and had no basis at all. Not only that, Schroeder ruled that Davis was a limited public figure and presented very little to no evidence regarding the defamation.

However, he did order Jerry Jones to take a paternity test. On top of that, he gave Davis and his lawyers another opportunity to refile another lawsuit based on the said ESPN articles. They filed the lawsuit as per ABC News, which read that Wilkinson and Jack falsely accused Davis “of being an extortionist and portrayed Plaintiff as attempting to shakedown Defendant Jones.”

What is the connection between Alexandra Davis and Jerry Jones?

As per the original lawsuit, Jones used to visit Alexandra’s mother, Cynthia Davis, back in the 1990s. She alleges that her mother conceived her during one of those visits. It also stated that she would receive money to keep the fling secret, which never came. Later, Cynthia moved in with her stepfather.

As per court orders, she went through with the DNA test to prove she and her stepfather are unrelated. However, Jerry Jones has yet to take the paternity test.

Alexandra Davis, born on December 16, 1996, is a congressional assistant and a former ‘Reality Star’ from Dallas, Texas. She and her mother, Cynthia Davis, were part of the Style Network show Big Rich Texas from October 7, 2012, to January 16, 2013.

Davis is a graduate of Southern Methodist University. Later, she became involved in the promotion campaign for Texas Governor Greg Abbott. To boost her political career, she moved to Washington, DC, and became a member of the House of Representatives. She is currently the legislative assistant to Republican Congressman Ronny Jackson.
