Jason Kelce, the center for the Philadelphia Eagles, recently announced his retirement from the game after 13 seasons. He now turns the page and will embark on a new chapter in his life.
While Kelce is yet to announce his future plans, he is enjoying life and making the most of this brief hiatus. Amidst this, Deion Sanders, the legendary defensive back and head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, has some important advice for Kelce.
Coach Prime, as he is affectionately known, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote his new book, ‘Elevate and Dominate: 21 Ways to Win On and Off the Field.’ During this, he brought a cardboard cutout of Jason Kelce as part of his appearance on the show.
Jason, you've come to the end of the road baby. But guess what? You don't have to train no more. You don't have to eat right any more. You can just let all that go. And I want you to be as controversial as you ever wanted to be on your podcast. I love you, I appreciate you. But baby, it's time to really be you.Deion Sanders said
Deion Sanders urged Jason Kelce to enjoy his retirement
As a former athlete himself, Deion Sanders understands the amount of discipline required to train consistently and restrict their dietary cravings for most part of the year. But now that he no longer needs to stay in shape, Jason Kelce can go all out, and if there is one thing fans know about the man is that he loves to binge on a variety of delicacies. Not to mention, he can chug as many beers as he wants.
Sanders encouraged him to be his true self and not hold back, even if it meant creating controversy with his takes. Kelce’s New Heights podcast, which recently won the best podcast award at the iHeart podcast awards, has gained notoriety for being entertaining and brutally honest. It features Jason and his brother Travis having open conversations with one another about the latest happenings in the world in the fields of sports and entertainment.
Jason Kelce recently revealed he was second-guessing his decision to retire after the Philadelphia Eagles decided to bring Saquon Barkley on-board. The team has had quite the busy offseason as they signed Devin White, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, and they are not done yet.
Coach Prime, on the other hand, is busy promoting his book while recruiting top college prospects to join the Colorado Buffaloes. He led the team to a 4-8 record in his first season as the head coach.
