Justin Fields was traded by the Chicago Bears some days back, which more or less seals the No. 1 NFL Draft pick fate.

After all speculations, the Chicago Bears have finally decided to trade Justin Fields. The decision has paved the way for college football wonder Caleb Williams to be selected as the overall first pick by the Bears in the upcoming NFL Draft.
However, this development has not impressed Deion Sanders. He instead raised some concerns about Caleb Williams‘ potential in the NFL. ‘Coach Prime’ feels that Williams would have some struggles in the cold and chill weather in Chicago.
Let me tell you something that I have a problem with. And this kid can flat out play. I think he's the best one on the board this year for sure. A kid that's coming from California for the last couple years, right? And went to Oklahoma. That's not terribly cold. Chicago's cold, man.Sanders said during his appearance on SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio
Caleb Williams is considered a generational prospect coming out of college football. Despite a recent not-so-good performance, the former LSU quarterback has some hefty achievements behind his name, for example, the Heisman Trophy Award in the 2022 season.
However, one factor can hold some problems for his career in the Bears. Williams has played high school level football in Norman, Oklahoma, and Los Angeles, California, and developed himself as a ‘warm weather quarterback.’ Hence, as Sanders pointed out, Williams’ playmaking might be affected in the extremely cold weather where he most likely will be starting his NFL career.
Sanders questions the mentality of the Chicago Bears going after Caleb Williams
As it is almost set in stone that the Bears are going for Caleb Williams, Deion Sanders questioned the rationale of the team. He failed to understand the reasons for bringing a warm-weather quarterback to the extremely cold weather of Chicago.
You gotta think about that kind of stuff when you're taking a young man. Like see, when you take a guy from Ohio State and you bring him to Chicago, okay, I could understand that. But from California to Chicago? Not only that, they added what? One or two more games in the NFL. Seventeen games!Sanders questioned
Sanders was not the only one to question the signing. The trading of Justin Fields was not welcomed by a lot of others associated with the team. It is to be seen whether the Bears drafting Williams (if it does happen) gets welcomed by the football fraternity.
