The Denver Broncos have emerged as one of the strongest teams in the whole of the NFL, after their offseason acquisitions. Leading NFL analyst, Colin Cowherd accepted the mandate and heaped praise on the AFC West franchise.

The Broncos traded in one of the best quarterbacks in the Super Bowl, Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks to strengthen their starting QB spot. It was a massive upgrade given that Drew Lock played that role in the 2021/22 season for them.

Defensively too, they made significant improvements as they roped in former Dallas Cowboys linebacker, Randy Gregory in a contract which is estimated to be worth around $70 million over the next 5 years. In addition to Gregory, D.J. Jones will also don the Broncos outfit next season, after he made the move from the San Francisco 49ers.

“I thought one team from the day the Super Bowl was over, until this morning, the Denver Broncos crushed it. Forget the fact that they went from Drew Lock to Russell Wilson at quarterback. How about the fact that they added Randy Gregory and D.J. Jones on the defensive line? They have totally rebuilt their defensive line to put pressure on quarterbacks,” Cowherd said.

“People will say ‘Denver, oh boy, their division!’ Stop. There’s a reason the SEC champ usually wins the national championship and they have the hardest schedule. It hardens you,” Cowherd said.

Colin Cowherd in his analysis of the Denver Broncos pipped very good things for them in the 2022/23 season as he felt that the franchise would be genuine Super Bowl contenders for the upcoming season, and for the seasons to follow.

“Denver should be a Super Bowl favourite, or a near-favourite, for the next several years. That is how you build a franchise in one year. That’s why the NFL is so popular, you can literally rebuild your franchise in a year. So good for them,” Cowherd said.
