“I went all in & so did he”: Derek Carr says he & Davante Adams did everything they possibly could to play together

Davante Adams and Derek Carr
Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers together made life tougher for almost all their competitors while they were together. However, ahead of the 2022 season, the Packers had to make a really tough choice, either to go with their top QB Rodgers and let go of Davante Adams, or have Davante and let Rodgers go.
As it turns out, Davante was actually getting more money from the Green Bay-based franchise but the man wanted to go the Raiders. Not long ago, the supremely talented wide receiver confirmed that he was trying his hardest to reunite with his best friend Derek Carr at the Raiders.

Carr also wanted exactly that as the man agreed for an extension, allowing the Raiders to keep everyone together. As per Anthony Galaviz of the Fresno Bee, Carr claimed that the timing of the Davante trade was absolutely perfect. “That’s something that we always talked about,” Carr said about reuniting with Davante.
“We dreamed of that and then when it became closer to reality, I went all in and he did, too. It’s something that we both just know where we’re at in our careers,” he claimed, adding that just because the two have united, one can’t guarantee that their numbers will be off the charts. However, they are surely looking forward to giving it a go in the best possible manner.

“It doesn’t promise that we can repeat what we’ve done,” Carr stated. “It does give us an opportunity to play together again, and it’s exciting. We’re both fired up about it. We’ve both been working really hard to make sure that we’re not just good again; we want to be as good as we can possibly be, but that takes a lot of work,“ Carr stated.
He went on to add that in order to give the best for the franchise, a lot of work would be required to put in from both the stars. “We’re excited to be on this journey together again,” he stated.
