Derek Carr‘s days in Las Vegas have come to an end as the quarterback penned a beautiful message on Thursday night thanking the Raiders nation for the unending support he has received for the past nine years as the signal-caller.
“We had our share of both heart breaking moments and thrilling game winning drives, and it always felt like you were there next to me. It’s especially hard to say goodbye because I can honestly say that I gave you everything I had, every single day, in season, and in the off-season. It certainly wasn’t perfect, but I hope that I was able to leave you with more than a few great memories as Raider fans,” Carr wrote in his letter on Twitter on 12th January.
The Raiders had a disappointing season under new head coach Josh McDaniels who led Las Vegas to a 6-11 losing season. Carr’s performance also didn’t inspire a lot of confidence in the team and he was benched for the last two games of the season, which might be the reason for his leaving the franchise.

Say what you will about Derek Carr’s performance, but he damn sure is a great teammate. According to TMZ Sports, the 31-year-old quarterback had custom diamond pendants made for his teammates Davante Adams and Maxx Crosby. Apparently, Carr asked Al The Jeweler from Labelle Jewelry in Totowa, NJ to whip up something special for his friends.
Al made a special diamond pendant with Admas’ and Crosby’s jersey numbers 17 and 89 that look absolutely breathtaking. Derek Carr and Davante Adams go way back to their college days as the duo played together at Fresno State. They remained friends throughout their NFL career, and their relationship was one of the main reasons for Adams to move land in Las Vegas.
Maxx Crosby and Derek Carr have been teammates for over four years and have formed a great bond that will continue even after the quarterback moves on to another team. Carr is definitely one of the best teammates in the league, and both of these stars are going to miss him in Las Vegas.
